Transparency Maldives (TM) has presented the Anti-Corruption Agenda for Clean Governance to President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
The president-elect reiterated his commitment to engage civil society in resolving governance challenges faced by Maldives, according to TM. The 12-point agenda focuses on addressing systemic issues that perpetuate corruption by addressing the lack of integrity in existing key governance institutions in the country.
The agenda was compiled, based on numerous surveys conducted by TM and suggestions by international partners. TM has assured its commitment to support the efforts of Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and his government in their fight against corruption, promoting good governance and inculcating a culture of human rights.
