ADK Hospital has held Brain and Spine Conference 2018 in Paradise Island Resort.
During the first day of the conference, 33 scientific research papers and 20 papers on relevant topics were submitted on various topics on diseases and surgeries of brain and spine. The two-day conference is participated by neurosurgeons from across the world. During the conference, ADK highlighted in the past four years, the hospital had conducted 713 surgeries.
Suring the second day, two surgeries were performed, which were broadcast live via social media. The surgeries were a success and the patients are recovering, according to ADK.
Speaking to PSM News, Neurosurgeon Dr. Ali Niyaf expressed the success of the conference. Noting that many opportunities were opened for local doctors from the first day itself, Dr. Niyaf noted it as one main aim of the conference.
A various number of neurosurgeons attending the conference noted the importance of such conferences and thanked ADK for providing a mutual platform.
Brain and Spine Conference 2018 is the largest health conference held in Maldives. ADK aims to make the conference the leading healthcare event in the South Asia region.
