Former President Mohamed Nasheed has inaugurated the Office of Former President Mohamed Nasheed in Addu City. The office will be utilised for work related to environmental protection.
Addressing supporters, Nasheed said mitigating the effects of climate change and protecting the islands of Maldives is a target he would work towards. Nasheed expressed hope that one day, Maldives would be able to develop a low carbon strategy.
The function held to inaugurate the Office of the Former President, was attended by many of his supporters.
