Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed a complaint has been lodged with the committee established in the Ministry to receive, investigate and handle all complaints relating to sexual abuse and harassment, under the Sexual Abuse and Harassment Prevention Act. The Committee is currently investigating the complaint, according to the ministry.
In a statement, the foreign ministry said it is working towards strengthening existing institutional mechanisms to address issues of sexual harassment, to ensure zero tolerance towards sexual harassment within the institution and also to ensure a safe working environment for all its staff.
