Health condition of former Vice President Adeeb serious

The family of former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb has revealed his condition is serious. The former vice president, who is serving a 33-year jail sentence, was admitted at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) due to sudden worsening of his health.

His wife, Mariyam Nashwa, stated Adeeb was put under medication in Dhoonidhoo Prison due to stomach ache and later brought to IGMH as the condition worsened. Adeeb is now being treated at IGMH in an executive ward, according to Nashwa.

Moreover, his family revealed a CT scan showed there are kidney stone which is now stuck between his kidney and the bladder, adding he is taking medicine to see if it dissolves. Doctors have advised to seek laser treatment if medicine does not dissolve the kidney stones within the next two days, Nashwa noted. His family blames authorities for neglecting treatment for Adeeb despite instructions from his doctors and public outrage.
