Wife of former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb, Mariyam Nashwa, has assured he will cooperate with any ongoing investigation.
Refuting rumours alleging former Vice president Adeeb is trying to flee the country citing medical treatment; Nashwa reiterated commitment to cooperate with investigative authorities rather than fleeing the country. In a series of tweets, Nashwa mentioned Adeeb is willing to cooperate with the incoming government of President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
The former vice president, who is serving a 33-year jail sentence, was admitted at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) due to sudden worsening of his health.
