The State Budget 2019 has forecast over USD 68 million will be received as grant aid to Maldives. The amount includes over USD 46 million as funding for the conduction of various projects and USD 22 million as financial aid.
USD 21.6 million is allocated for funding of ongoing projects while USD 20.7 million is expected to be generated as grant aid for projects in the pipeline, according to the proposed budget. Of the total grant aid forecast for next year, USD 19.9 million would be generated by the incoming government.
Ministry of Finance has proposed USD 2 billion as the State Budget 2019. The ministry has predicted the economic growth to remain at 6.8% next year.
