Public Service Media (PSM) has launched TVM Junior, a television channel especially for kids. The channel was launched by Deputy Managing Director of PSM Mohamed Ikraam Abdul Latheef and the Chairperson of the governing board of PSM Mariyam Azra. The ceremony was attended by board members and content managers of PSM.
Addressing the ceremony after launching the channel, Deputy Managing Director Ikraam said PSM is a corporation which aims to deliver quality content to different age groups of the public. He said the aim of launching TVM Junior is to instil nationalism and Islam in the hearts of the young children, in addition to enrich general information for the kids.
Furthermore, the newly launched channel will air locally produced content, including cartoons in Dhivehi Language, according to the deputy managing director. He further added TVM Junior will air its content in the evenings and in the mornings of the weekend.
The latest brand of PSM was officially launched on August 13.
