Readers of DIVE Magazine UK have voted Carpe Diem Maldives fleet as one of the best dive liveaboards in the world for the second year running.
Although all three liveaboard vessels in the fleet were shortlisted for the top 25, the operator's first liveaboard Carpe Diem was placed highest in 6th place. This is the second consecutive year DIVE Magazine recognised Carpe Diem as one of the best liveaboards in the world and it is the only liveaboard operator in the Maldives to have earned the prestigious award.
Following the recognition, Managing Director of Carpe Diem Maldives Amir Mansoor said when they began the dive safaris with the Carpe Diem vessel in 2008, the sector of tourism was still quite young and undeveloped in Maldives, adding he is delighted their vessels have been acknowledged with the global award for two consecutive years, giving recognition to the local boat building industry.
Since 2008, Carpe Diem Maldives Private Limited has been expanding to create dive and surf experiences with the mission of experiencing the excitement and anticipation of the Maldivian waters.
