Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali has stated the most important task of the ministry is to improve the religious affairs of the country with the assistance and advice of religious scholars. The Islamic minister made the remarks during a meeting held with religious scholars of Maldives.
During the meeting, Minister Zahir revealed the ministry will always assist religious scholars, adding the ministry will back the scholars in every effort to enhance the religious affairs of the nation. In his first meeting held with religious scholars since assuming office, Minister Zahir highlighted on areas that needs immediate attention and asked for the assistance and advice.
The meeting held at Islamic Ministry was attended by ministry officials and many religious scholars.
