Minister of Defence Mariya Ahmed Didi has revealed the plan of the government is to enhance the welfare services of Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) to stop the dependence of military personal on welfare services. Defence Minister Mariya made the remarks at the ceremony held to inaugurate Senahiya Operation Theatre and General Ward.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Mariya stated MNDF should not be depending on outside resources to attain welfare services. In this regard, the minister revealed President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih prioritises enhancing the welfare services of the military forces to stop depending on outside resources.
Meanwhile, addressing the ceremony, Commander of Senahiya Brigadier General Abdul Raheem stated the newly opened operation theatre and the general ward will further enhance the services provided by military hospital.
