Aasandha Company to provide insurance for all ID cards, despite expiration

Aasandha Company Limited has decided to provide Aasandha healthcare insurance service to all national identity cards, despite the expiration dates.

All Maldivian nationals with an identity card can access the government healthcare services from all facilities providing Aasandha, despite the expiration dates, according to Aasandha. Previously, services were only provided to those with a valid national identity card which has caused several difficulties to those seeking services.

Making expired identity cards valid for Aasandha services is a pledge of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to be fulfilled in the first 100 days of his presidency.
