Confederation of Indian Industry expresses interest to invest in Maldives

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has expressed interest to invest in Maldives.

At a meeting held in India named ''Maldives is open for business again'', CII and officials from the Maldivian government widely discussed on the development plans of the government. Moreover, the Maldivian delegation highlighted the importance of investment to promote the development agenda of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. Meanwhile, CII acquired important information about Maldives, including the investment policies and business opportunities in Maldives.

Furthermore, discussions in the meeting focused on investing in health sector, infrastructure development as well as water and sewerage projects. Maldives was represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid, Minister of Finance Ibrahim Ameer and Minister of Economic Development Fayyaz Ismail.
