Minister of Communication, Science and Technology Mohamed Maleeh Jamal has revealed the need to physically visit government offices to attain services will be put to a stop with the introduction of modern technology.
Speaking to media regarding the vision of National Centre for Information Technology (NCIT) and Ministry of Communication, Science and Technology, Maleeh said Maldives have not adapted to the latest technological facilities in attaining services from government offices.
Noting visiting one office to the other to receive services is a huge setback to complete tasks swiftly, Maleeh stated a solution would be found with new technology. In this regard, he went on to reveal that during the presidency of Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, smart technology will be introduced within government offices to ease providing services.
Furthermore, the minister expressed the vision is to connect all government offices within one network, adding efforts to achieve the goal will commence soon. In addition, he revealed a special system is being developed to show the points of social housing recipients as soon as they apply.
