Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) has appointed managing directors to State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) and Maldives Post Limited (MPL). PCB has appointed Shahid Ali as Managing Director of MPL and Hassan Mughnee and Managing Director of STELCO, according to Chairman Mohamed Nizar.
Shahid Ali had formerly served as the managing director of STO during the presidency of Mohamed Nasheed. Meanwhile, Hassan Mughnee was appointed as the managing director of STELCO by the past administration in January 2014 but was removed from the post in June.
In the past week, the new administration has appointed board members to STO, Island Aviation Service Limited (IASL) and Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC).
