Cabinet briefed on the fragility of the Maldives’ environment as part of the first 100 days’ goals

The cabinet has been briefed on the scope and fragility of the Maldives’ environment. The session on environment protection was conducted as part of President Solih’s First 100 Days’ Goals of briefing those elected and appointed to executive posts.

The information session was conducted at the President’s Office by Ministry of Environment. Apart from members of the cabinet, executives appointed at the President’s Office were also in attendance.

Important issues covered at the session include the current status of the Maldives’ environment and its ecosystem, conservation areas and endangered species, environmental threats and their adverse effects on the country.
