Maldives and Bangladesh express interests to further strengthen the existing relations between the two countries.
During the courtesy call paid by the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Maldives Rear Admiral Akhtar Habib on Vice President Faisal Naseem, discussions were held to work together to enhance collaborations in areas that are of mutual benefit to both countries.
During the call, the vice president welcomed the ambassador and expressed good wishes from the Government and the people of Maldives to the Government and the people of Bangladesh.
Furthermore, emphasising on the strong bilateral ties that exist between the Maldives and Bangladesh, the vice president extended gratitude to the Bangladesh Government for its continuous support and assistance provided to the people of Maldives, especially for the internship opportunities given to Maldivian students every year.
