A high level Maldivian delegation has travelled to Japan on an official visit. The delegation consists of Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid, Minister of Finance Ibrahim Ameer and Minister of Economic Development Fayyaz Ismail.
The Maldivian delegation was received by Ambassador-Designate from Japan to Maldives Yanai and Ambassador from Maldives to Japan Ibrahim Uvais at Narita International Airport in Tokyo.
During the visit, Foreign Minister Shahid will meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Taro Kono and other high level officials of the Government of Japan and hold discussion on further strengthening the historic and close bilateral ties between Maldives and Japan.
The three ministers have previously travelled to India and UAE.
