Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid has met with President of the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) Yasushi Akahoshi, in Tokyo.
During the meeting, held at the JETRO Headquarters, Minister Shahid discussed on various issues, including increasing Japanese investment in Maldives and strengthening trade ties between the two countries. Akahoshi was joined by Vice President of JETRO Nayoshi Noguchi at the meeting.
The foreign minister is accompanied at the meeting by Minister of Finance Ibrahim Ameer, Minister of Economic Development Fayyaz Ismail, senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Maldives in Japan.
