Acting Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed has assured to provide assistance to Elections Commission of Maldives to ensure security during the upcoming parliamentary elections. The acting commissioner gave the assurance at a meeting held by Elections Commission to provide information to Maldives Police Service in activities related to the upcoming elections scheduled to be held on April 6.
During the meeting held at the police headquarters, discussions were held between President of Elections Commission Ahmed Shareef and acting Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed regarding signing a memorandum of understanding on providing security during the parliamentary elections.
The meeting was attended by senior personnel from both institutions.
