National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) has announced over 60 households which were damaged due to flooding caused in Male' City on December 5 have been given disaster relief funds.
Speaking to PSM News, Media Official Hisaan Hassan revealed altogether 62 households have been provided with the funds, adding efforts are underway to hand over disaster relief funds for the remaining households. Following a rapid assessment, NDMC decided to grant disaster relief funds to 127 households that were damaged due to flooding in the capital city. The funds are released in accordance with the relief guideline, according to NDMC.
NDMC said households will be granted nearly USD 3,000 as funds depending on the extent of the damages.
