Addu City Council has begun renovating the roads in Addu City.
The city council said renovation process includes developing soil roads and conducting minor maintenance, according to Addu City council. Major developments of the roads will be conducted by Ministry of Planning and Urban Development, according to the council.
Mayor of Addu City Abdulla Sadiq said the council has initiated levelling the soil roads in some roads along with efforts to solve the issues of flooding. He said levelling the roads is not a permanent solution and the council is in discussions to develop the roads including the installation of drain storm water facilities.
