Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel has met with the Senior Vice President of JICA Dr. Junichi Yamada.
During the meeting, State Minister Khaleel thanked JICA for the various development projects steered by JICA in Maldives that has lifted the lives and well-being of Maldivians over the past few decades. The state minister noted JICA's programmes have enriched people-to-people contact between the two countries and brought much needed development assistance to the country. The state minister and the vice president also discussed the recent high-level exchange of visits between the countries and discussed avenues for future collaboration.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador of Maldives to Japan Ibrahim Uvais.
