Maldives Police Service has prepared to conduct a special operation to stop the use of liquors and drugs in the Greater Male' Region.
The operation initiated by Drug Enforcement Department will be conducted in Male', Hulhumale', Villimale' and other nearby islands. The operation is held commemorating the New Year’s Eve, according to the department.
Further the department revealed the aim of the operation is to provide safety and protection for the community. The operation will be assisted by all departments of the police force, including the police dog squad.
