President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met with members of the Dhuvaafaru Island Council and Un'goofaaru Island Council, as part of his visit to Raa Atoll.
At separate meetings, members of the councils briefed the president on the work being undertaken by the island councils and future plans for the development of the respective islands. The president also enquired on the challenges being faced by the councils and the difficulties faced by the island communities.
President Solih visited Raa Atoll to attend the official ceremony held in Dhuvaafaru to mark National Unity Day.
