President visits his birth island for the first time since assuming office

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has paid a non-official visit to his birth island, Hinnavaru in Lhaviyani Atoll.

Prior to his visit to Hinnavaru, President Solih visited Dhuvaafaru in Raa Atoll and met with members of the Dhuvaafaru Island Council and Un’goofaaru Island Council. He also attended the Unity Day function held in the island.

As the last part of the tour, the President is scheduled to visit Hen’badhoo in Noonu Atoll tomorrow, where he will initiate sanitation services in the island. He will also meet with the Hen’badhoo Island Council.
