Government to connect all healthcare facilities by one network

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has revealed plans to connect all government-owned hospitals and the health centres in Maldives by one network.

Speaking at the ceremony held to inaugurate the sanitation services in Hen'badhoo in Noonu Atoll, President Solih further added the administration plans to digitise all the laboratories across the country and to ensure the doctors in the main government-owned hospitals can provide support and guidance to the staff at the health centres in the islands.

Noting a proper household is the basis of a developed economy, the president said the problems faced by the communities are because of a lack of proper housing. The president said without solving the housing faced in Maldives, the country cannot be developed to the expectations of the citizens. He added his aim is all Maldivians are provided with affordable and suitable housing opportunities during his term in office.

During his speech in Hen'badhoo, the president pledged to solve the housing issues and to develop a modern harbour in the island.
