The government of UAE has waived visa for Maldivians.
At a press briefing held to make the announcement, Minister of State for Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel said the government of UAE officially informed the visa fee had been waived for Maldivians starting from January 1, 2019.
State Minister Ahmed Khaleel stated upon the decision of the UAE government, the ministry has officially informed the airlines and had made necessary arrangements. In this regard, he revealed upon arrival to UAE, Maldivians will get an on-arrival visa valid for a month.
The new visa agreements were made during the trip of Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid to UAE in late November.
