Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Moosa Manik has met with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
Deputy Speaker Moosa Manik posted a photo with President Solih on twitter. However, no additional information was shared.
During the presidential campaign, Moosa Manik supported then President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and widely criticised the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) and the opposition movement. The huge loss to Yameen resulted in Moosa Manik leaving Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM). He had since announced his candidature to compete in the parliamentary elections as an independent candidate.
