President departs on an unofficial visit to Sri Lanka

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has departed on a three-day unofficial visit to Sri Lanka. It is the first unofficial trip abroad by President Solih since assuming office on November 17.

The president has made one official trip abroad. In this regard, he visited India on a state visit from December 16 to 18. He visited India, on his maiden official visit, on invitation from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Furthermore, President Solih had made several official visits to some of the islands in Maldives.
