Maumoon Reform Movement (MRM) has opened opportunity to contest for tickets to compete in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
MRM revealed opportunity is opened for interested candidates to run for parliament seats with its endorsement. In this regard, the movement stated opportunity window will be open until January 10.
MRM is a political movement led by former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom which he formed when Civil Court handed over the leadership of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) to former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. However, the case on the validity of the PPM leadership has been submitted to the Supreme Court after the High Court ruled Maumoon is the valid leader of PPM.
MRM is one of the four political movements that formed the current government coalition.
