President appoints two full time members to Employment Tribunal

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Mohamed Zahir and Mariyam Shamma Ibrahim as full time members to the Employment Tribunal of the Maldives. President Solih presented the letter of appointment to Mohamed Zahir and Mariyam Shamma Ibrahim, at a ceremony held at the President's Office. The appointments were made in accordance with Employment Act.

Prior to the presentation of the letter of appointment, Mohamed Zahir and Mariyam Shamma Ibrahim took the oath of office. The oath was administered by Criminal Court Chief Judge Ahmed Hailam.

Mohamed Zahir attained Bachelor of Law from University of London. Mariyam Shamma Ibrahim attained Master of Business Administration from Villa College. In 2014 she was a full time member of the Employment Tribunal of the Maldives. She has also worked at the Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) and Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).
