Maldives Police Service has urged to refrain from making derogatory remarks, especially threats.
Noting the authority have begun observing a string of hate speech and threats ensuing from recent conversations on some social media platforms, in a tweet, the police urged to refrain from such actions.
However, the police did not reveal why the advisory was made public. The police further said such remarks are under investigation.
