Indian Ambassador to Maldives Akhilesh Mishra has paid a courtesy call of Speaker of Parliament Qasim Ibrahim.
During the meeting, discussions were held to enhance bilateral relations between both countries. Parliament Speaker Qasim Ibrahim noted the traditional close relations between both countries and thanked the Indian ambassador on his efforts to further boost ties and increase assistance to Maldives.
Meanwhile, Indian ambassador highlighted the hospitality Maldivians extend towards him and thanked the Maldivian government for the closeness attached with India. Discussions also focused on increasing areas of collaboration.
