Maldives Police Service has begun an investigation in to the serial killing of cats in Malé City.
In a tweet, the police stated a petition has been submitted to stop the violent killing of cats. The petition was submitted by Human Society of Maldives. The police also sat down with the petitioners and discussed the issue.
Humane Society of Maldives also met with Malé City Council regarding the issue.
