Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL) has begun issuing domestic flight tickets at reduced prices.
The Public Relations Manager of the National Carrier, Maldivian, announced at a press conference tickets are now being sold at the lowest possible rates. Public Relations Manager Moosa Waseem noted the new slashed prices were decided after various surveys. He said the airline is also working to enhance the overall flying experience, adding the ticket sales have increased.
Following the changes, a round trip from VIA to Hanimaadhoo will cost between USD 104.23 and USD 144.11, VIA to Ifuru will cost between USD 97.11 and USD 133.11, VIA to Dharavandhoo will cost between USD 71.09 and USD 101.13, VIA to Kudahuvadhoo will cost between USD 71.09 and USD 101.13, VIA to Thimarafushi will cost between USD 104.23 and USD 144.11, VIA to Kadhdhoo will cost between USD 104.23 and USD 144.11, VIA to Kooddoo will cost between USD 106.95 and USD 158.10, VIA to Kaadedhoo will cost between USD 106.95 and USD 158.10, VIA to Fuvahmulah will cost between USD 109.93 and USD 168.20 and VIA to Addu will cost between USD 109.93 and USD 172.60.
It is an electoral pledge of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to reduce domestic airfare in Maldives.
