Adaalath Party has opened opportunity for interested members to contest in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
In a notice issued by Adaalath Party, interested candidates are required to submit application forms and necessary documents before January 20.
Adaalath Party, a government coalition partner, has decided to contest for 13 constituencies. In this regard, Adaalath Party will contest for Kelaa, Vaikaradhoo, North Kulhudhuffushi, Makunudhoo, Inguraidhoo, Mahibadhoo, Mulah, Nilandhoo, Gan, South Fuvahmulah, Feydhoo and South Maafannu.
Adhaalth Party, a religious conservative party, said the announcement was made in accordance with the agreement made by the coalition leaders.
Meanwhile, other government coalition partners, Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) and Jumhooree Party (JP) has decided to contest for the all constituencies.
The parliamentary elections is scheduled to be held on April 6.
