Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan has revealed necessary arrangements are made to operate an outpost of University of Milano-Bicocca in Maldives.
Speaking to PSM News, Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Hassan stated Ministry of Foreign Affairs has signed an agreement with the Italian university. The minister expressed it is an important step to establish a Bicocca outpost in Maldives, highlighting the agreement was renewed as the initial agreement expired. He said the outpost has now been registered at the Ministry of Higher Education.
Establishing an outpost of University of Milano-Bicocca in Maldives is included in the first 100-day pledge policy of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. Previously, in 2011, the administration of President Mohamed Nasheed exerted efforts to establish an outpost of the university in Magoodhoo in Faafu Atoll.
