IGCS Samarth arrives in Maldives

Indian Navy ship IGCS Samarth has arrived in Maldives to conduct a joint surveillance.

IGCS Samarth will be in Maldives from January 13-17 to conduct a joint surveillance in the Maldives Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), according to Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). The ship arrived in Maldives as part of the serial joint surveillance conducted by Maldives and India since 2009.

IGCS Samarth will assist MNDF to ensure no illegal activities are carried out in the Maldivian waters.
