Husnul Suood confident on finding out what happened to missing journalist

President of the Commission on Investigation of Murders and Enforced Disappearances Husnul Suood has expressed confidence the commission can disclose what happened to the journalist Ahmed Rilwan.

In a tweet attached with a picture of a protest held in Male’ city urging the authorities to find Rilwan, Husnul Suood stated he is confident of finding the answers.

Rilwan went missing on August 8, 2014.

At a press conference held on December 30, Husnul Suood revealed evidence and information have been received to investigate the cases of the murder of former Parliament Dr. Afraasheem Ali and blogger Yameen Rasheed as well as missing journalist Ahmed Rilwan.

Suood also noted information have been collected for the investigation, adding so far, the commission is aware the three cases are interlinked.
