National Carrier, Maldivian, has inaugurated night landing for the first time at Thimarafushi Airport in Thaa Atoll.
Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali, Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services Shidhatha Shareef, senior officials from Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation and Island Aviation Services Limited arrived at Thimarafushi on the flight.
The commencement of night landing in the Island will enhance the tourism in the area and benefit the islands in the atoll, according to Maldivian.
Thimarafushi Airport was officially launched in 2013.
