President's Office to establish a portal to report corruption and fraud cases

Minister at President's Office Ahmed Sameer has revealed a portal will be established at the President's Office to report corruption and fraud cases.

Speaking at the ceremony held to sign the declaration of consent by the staff of State Electric Company (STELCO) to eliminate corruption within the company, Ahmed Sameer said it is an important pledge of the president to end corruption, treachery, and eliminate misuse of authority and power. Sameer assured the administration upholds a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. He went on to describe disclosing the financial statements of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Vice President Faisal Naseem and cabinet ministers as proof of the ambitions by the administration to put forth honesty.

Moreover, Sameer said efforts are now underway to establish a portal to investigate corruption and fraud. In this regard, he expressed, following the establishment of an online portal, the public will be given opportunity to submit corruption cases directly to the President's Office which will be investigated.

Continuing on, Sameer assured the current administration will continuously work to eliminate corruption and fraud.
