Minister of Economic Development Fayyaz Ismail has revealed several projects are planned to enhance the information and communication technology sector.
Speaking to PSM News, the economic minister said the administration prioritises enhancing the sector, adding several talented individuals have been identified working in the sector. Minister Fayyaz noted Maldivians have proven their capacity by developing very useful applications. Highlighting efforts to establish a platform for everyone in the sector is underway, the minister stated the platform will enable the direct communication link with the government.
Furthermore, the minister noted assistance from other countries will be sought to develop the sector. In this regard, he said currently discussions are underway to seek technical assistance and market for the sector.
