Journalists urged to complement as much as criticise the government

Minister of Finance Ibrahim Ameer has stated journalists should complement as much as criticise the government.

Speaking at a training programme held for journalists by Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA) and Ministry of Finance, Minster Ibrahim Ameer said journalists should report noteworthy efforts of the government as much as criticism is reported to hold the government accountable. He asked to report legit news and reports to refrain from spreading misinformation which will mislead the public.

The Workshop on Essentials of Financial Journalism was participated by journalists from several media outlets. During the workshop, information was provided on reporting business endeavours.
