Maldives Customs Services has held workshop on Implementation of Strategic Trade Controls in Compliance.
The 3-day workshop, held at Customs Head Office, was organised by the US Export Control and Related Border Security (EXBS) Programme Office in Sri Lanka.
The key element of the workshop focused on informing the participants on proper implementation protocol for UNSCR convention and policies on multilateral export control regimes, national control lists, export, transit, transhipment, brokering and related services and recent legal regulations.
A total 21 officials from Maldives Customs Service, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Attorney Generals' Office, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Communication Science and Technology, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Fisheries, Maldives National Defence Force, Maldives Coast Guard and Maldives Police Service took part in the workshop.
