Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has revealed the international community is ready to assist the administration in achieving the manifesto of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
In a tweet after concluding trips to Abu Dhabi, Washington, New York and London, the foreign minister said the international community has begun accepting Maldives despite being isolated in the past five years. Furthermore, Minister Shahid stated Maldives is now well-received by the international community, with genuine warmth and readiness to assist in achieving the goals of the administration.
During the 10-day tour, the foreign minister addressed at the United National Security Council on the impacts of climate change. He also met with United Nations Secretary General António Guterres and United Nations Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs Miroslav Jenča.
