Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services Shidhatha Shareef has met beggars in local market area to identify the difficulties they are facing while living in Male' City.
Speaking to media following the visit to the area, Gender Minister Shidhatha Shareef expressed the administration will exert major efforts to solve issues faced by the population.
During the visit, the beggars in the area informed the minister on their situation and told about the difficulties in meeting the living standards. They also told the minister there are difficulties in attaining jobs, adding they are willing to work if given the chance.
The minister assured them efforts will be exerted by the administration along with relevant authorities to solve the issues.
