Country needs the efforts of the youth for development

Vice President Faisal Naseem has said the country will not be developed just by the efforts of the government but rather by a collective effort from the youth and the community. The vice president made the statement during his visit to Technical Vocational Education Centre, operated by Coastline Foundation, Kihaadhoo in Baa Atoll.

Addressing the students in the centre, Vice President Faisal Naseem highlighted one of the aims of the administration is to provide job opportunities for youth. He advised the students to fully utilise in real life the skills they learn.

Furthermore, the vice president noted the youth plays an important role in the development of the country. He said the country needs the ideas and the participation of youth in further progressing the country.

During his visit to the Technical Vocational Education Centre, the vice president met with the senior management of the institution, where he was briefed on the ongoing activities of the institutions. He also toured the institution.

The vice president also visited the school and the health centre during his visit to the island.
