Vice President inquires about issues in Thinadhoo

Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with Thinadhoo Island Council and inquires about several difficulties faced by the citizens.

Speaking regarding the meeting, President of Thinadhoo Island Council Ibrahim Assad said the council informed the vice president on the issues and challenges faced by the citizens. The vice president assured the cooperation of the government for the development efforts of Thinadhoo.

Moreover, speaking during the meeting regarding the incomplete projects in Thinadhoo, the council revealed projects were commenced without proper planning.

The vice president has embarked on a trip to Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll to monitor the situations of the islands closely and to discuss decentralisation of councils. He is accompanied by Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali, Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services Shidhatha Shareef and Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir.
