The President's Office commences an Anti-Corruption and Good Governance Programme for those serving in elected posts and appointed to political posts, as pledged in the first 60 days of the first 100 working Days agenda of the administration. The programme held in National Art Gallery was attended by Chief of Staff of President's Office Ali Zahir as the chief guest.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ali Zahir said President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih aims to eliminate corruption and ensure the authorities are trusted by the public. He highlighted the administration has initiated several projects to identify corruption in early stages to eliminate such acts, adding responsibilities must be put forth above all.
The Anti-Corruption and Good Governance Programme is conducted to aware the individuals serving in elected posts and appointed to political posts on corruption and on information on good governance.
Transparency Maldives, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and International Republic Commission will conduct the programme. The two-day programme is attended by senior figures of the government and parliamentarians.
